It accounts for approximately 70%-80% of all primary liver cancer cases[1]. A variety of risk factors such as hepatitis viruses, vinyl chloride, tobacco, foodstuffs contaminated with aflatoxin B1 toxin, heavy alcohol intake, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), diabetes, obesity, oral contraceptives, and hemochromatosis cause HCC[2].
